Croatia becomes part of the ETS community: REGOS and the digital platform “Moja mirovina” become part of the European pension tracking system

The Central Registry of Affiliates (REGOS) participated for the first time as a member institution in the Annual General Meeting of the European Tracking Service (ETS), held on 4–5 December in Paris. The two-day programme brought together key European member institutions responsible for tracking and providing information on pension rights. Croatia was represented by REGOS Director Iskra Primorac.

As part of this year’s assembly, REGOS officially presented the Croatian pension tracking system, the digital platform Moja mirovina (mojamirovina.hr). By joining ETS, the platform becomes part of the European network of national portals dedicated to transparency and accessibility of pension data, as well as to the development of the common European platform Find Your Pension.

REGOS’s inclusion in ETS is an important step towards greater transparency and easier access to information on pension rights and expected pension benefits for all insured persons, including those who work or have worked in more than one Member State of the European Union and the European Economic Area. Through the development of the My Pension platform, Croatia is positioning itself among European countries that actively promote pension literacy, modernise their pension systems and place the user at the centre of public services, emphasised REGOS Director Iskra Primorac.

The Digital Platform Moja mirovina

In order to improve citizens’ financial and pension literacy and ensure easy access to reliable information, REGOS, in cooperation with the Croatian Pension Insurance Institute (HZMO) and with advisory support from the World Bank, developed the Moja mirovina portal, which has been publicly available since 2024.

The platform consists of an anonymous and a personalised pension calculator. The anonymous calculator provides an estimate of future pension benefits based on freely entered data and is available to all users without registration. The personalised calculator, accessible via the e-Citizens system, offers personalised informative calculations based on actual data from HZMO and REGOS. By accessing the personalised calculator, users can also download detailed tabular overviews of the data kept for them in the Croatian pension insurance system, which serve as the basis for pension projections. This ensures full transparency and encourages regular verification of the accuracy and timeliness of data on accrued service periods and paid mandatory pension contributions.

Joining ETS – Strengthening European Cooperation and Access to Pension Information

Established on the initiative of the European Commission, ETS brings together national pension tracking systems from Member States and promotes a higher level of transparency, enabling citizens to make informed, timely and well-founded decisions about their future pension benefits. To date, ETS membership has comprised nine institutions from Germany, France, Belgium,  Netherlands and Sweden. With the inclusion of REGOS in 2025, Croatia becomes part of a European network that facilitates and develops access to information on pension rights acquired in different member states and supports labour mobility.

Membership provides additional opportunities for cooperation, the exchange of best practices and the further development of the Croatian pension tracking system, with the aim of building a common European platform and enhancing the availability and transparency of information on pension rights for insured persons in the European Union and the European Economic Area.
